"Architecture is frozen music" must be the dumbest definition ever. It was coined by pompous 18th century German Romantic philosopher von Schilling and neatly satirised by Flanders & Swann in the 50s as "Music is defrosted architecture."

If we must search in the freezer for definitions, how about "Architecture is frozen money" or Ian Martin's "Architecture is frozen carbon"? Pass the microwave.
